It was an absolute honour and pleasure to speak at the International Day of Women and Girls in Science event hosted by the Medical Device Manufacturing Centre.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Lisa Crombie  and Elizabeth Pirrie’s talks - hearing about their challenges and successes was very inspiring.  It was particularly reassuring to hear the similarities between my own innovation journey and Lisa’s.  Elizabeth did an amazing job at bringing a sense of empowerment and togetherness through her talk - I really valued her perspective on how women’s motivations can differ from men’s.  Lots of work still to be done to bring about more opportunities for female founders!

A huge well done to Carolina and Jane for organising such a fantastic event!
